Mission:
The ALH Group is on its way to becoming the insurance group of tomorrow. The mission of transformation therefore accompanies the managers on a daily basis. How can awareness of the company's strategy be communicated interactively as part of a management conference and how can the content of the event allow employees to experience that they play a leading role in this transformation process?
Solution:
The choice of venue already drew attention to the facets of the transformation process: with its special shape, the Mainz pyramid symbolises the process architecture and the facets of the future corporate strategy. The spatial concept linked the objectives of the individual business units with each other via various levels and made the different characteristics of the transformation process tangible. Instead of a traditional conference format, individual transformation models were developed in small groups at market stalls, which were then brought together and linked. Topics such as future vision, strategy and personal development were dealt with in open discussions, with each level of the pyramid bringing a new dimension of transformation to life. All participants were connected via a proverbial ‘red thread’ and were thus able to feel their effect on the entire transformation process first-hand.
Success:
The interactive design of the event provided a lasting impetus for open dialogue and active engagement with transformation processes. The interplay of location and event format enabled managers not only to understand their own key role in the transformation in theory, but also to experience it in practice.
