And with new clients like sensodyne and nespresso on board, the future looks bright.
Munich, 18.05.2018 – RÜCKENWIND celebrated its twentieth anniversary yesterday evening in Munich. On this major milestone, the agency announced a shift from its historic business model of doing promotions to embrace a new strategic direction – moving beyond live communication to focus more holistically on brand experiences. In a sign of exciting things to come, Marc Dalkolmo (45) has returned to manage the agency that he set up 20 years previously. In 2006, Marc stepped back from the agency management (maintaining a shareholding) while building up the events business at Serviceplan and becoming a partner and head of creative at East End Communications.
Since the start of the year, Marc has been working with a brand-new team of experienced events experts to reposition RÜCKENWIND as a brand experience agency. With a raft of new clients like Nespresso, Sensodyne and Niessing and 20 employees working out of offices in Munich, Hamburg and Cologne, the future looks bright for the agency. RÜCKENWIND has already started producing exciting new work too – like a pop-up café for Nespresso at this year’s Berlinale or a mobile mouth spa for Sensodyne. For Sensodyne, the agency took the strategic decision to move away from “finger-wagging” to create a deep sense of emotional wellbeing instead.
“Clients typically only bring in event agencies as external technology providers or caterers,” says Marc Dalkolmo, who returns to the top job at RÜCKENWIND. “But the real added value in live communication lies in solving companies’ business challenges with creativity. We offer creative solutions that are based on a solid strategy. We then use engaging storytelling to make our sales messages land. Therefore, we can ensure brand experiences are memorable, connect to their target audience and achieve more reach.” The agency’s name change from Rückenwind Promotion GmbH to RÜCKENWIND MARKENERLEBNIS GmbH reflects the company’s shift in strategy.
During yesterday’s anniversary celebrations at the agency’s offices in the Schwabing district of Munich, RÜCKENWIND unveiled its new corporate identity and launched a new website. The new URL www.rueckenwind.rocks was also the name of the anniversary party where 150 guests celebrated the agency relaunch until the early hours of the morning.
